Barite

Baryte, barite or barytes is a mineral consisting of barium sulfate (BaSO4). Baryte is a dense mineral with various applications. Its exceptional purity and high specific gravity make it valuable across industries.

Applications:

Oil & Gas: Used as a drilling mud additive to control well pressure.
Paint & Coating: Enhances paint brightness and opacity.
Plastics & Rubber: Functions as a filler to improve physical properties.
Pharmaceuticals: Used in radiology for diagnostic purposes.
Other applications: In oxygen and sulfur isotopic analysis, Geochronological dating

Physical Characteristics:

Color: Typically white, colorless, or light shades of blue, yellow, grey, or brown.
Crystal System: Orthorhombic.
Specific Gravity: 4.2 to 4.5 g/cm³.
Hardness: 3 to 3.5 on the Mohs scale.
Shape: Powedery, Stone (It can be sized according to the customer's order up to 5 microne)

International Standards:
Complies with API (American Petroleum Institute) standards for use in drilling muds and with relevant industry standards.

Jumbo bag (according to customer's order)

 

Chemical Characteristics:

Purity: Minimum 90% BaSO4.
Iron (Fe) Content: Maximum 0.05% as Fe2O3.
Sulfide (S) Content: Maximum 0.1%
Moisture Content: less than 5%
